Thanks to help from +Mike McLoughlin & +François Beaufort I've taken the plunge and swapped over to the beta channel on my Chromebook, mainly for 1 reason: memory.

In one of my previous posts I mentioned that one issue I was having was that when I had multiple tabs open, if I was playing music in one of them (LOVE Pandora), it would stop playing music and I'd then need to select the tab, select refresh and then it's start playing music again, until it happened again when the device needed the memory.

So +Mike McLoughlin mentioned zRAM, I did a bit of searching and found this: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromebook-central/r27r3ZcchhM/discussion%5B1-25-false%5D. In short, enabling zRAM should overcome this memory issue, with the only requirement being that it requires Chrome v25. I was on the stable channel but convinced that swapping over to the beta channel would be worth it, and after a few clicks, a little waiting and following instructions in the link below, I'm now on the beta channel and have zRAM enabled.

How's it going? Well I currently have 15 tabs open and the music is playing perfectly and it could be in my head, but things definitely feel snappier, especially when switching between tabs.

Stay tuned for further updates.
