After taking a photo with my Canon 450D the other day, a couple of seconds later it made a 'pop' sound and no longer responded – not a good sign!

I thought/hoped the issue was just the battery giving up and calling it a day so I went out and grabbed a new battery while crossing my fingers this would fix the issue. It hasn't.

I've got no ideas of what could be the problem, if it could be fixed and it if would even be worth getting it fixed. We've had it for 3-4 years but haven't really used it all that much, but with twins on the way, a camera is obviously a must.

Anyone have any ideas what the issue could be or what to look for/try?
