I'm not one to start rumours, but this was evidence enough for me to at least share and see what you think, so here goes:

In looking for an image of this Chromebook I went to the Acer website and did a right-click save and noticed the file name included "nontouch" in it. Here's the link: http://static.acer.com/up/Resource/Acer/Laptops/Chromebook_13/Images/20140710/CB5-311_nontouch_sku-main.png

Is that enough to suggest there will be a touchscreen version in the future? I think so, otherwise there would be no reason to include "nontouch" in the file name, would there?

What do you think?

UPDATE: As pointed out by several people in the comments, it sounds like a touch version was referred to in some previous articles. Good to know. So who's going to wait for the touch version? I'm not – a touchscreen Chromebook has never held much appeal for me.
